How to Incorporate A Bounce House into Christmas Festivities

A bounce house is an excellent way to spend time as a family. While a bounce house is primarily intended to be used by children, nothing says that adults cannot join in on the fun too.

A bounce house is often found at summer parties, but have you ever thought about including one in your Christmas festivities? We have collected a variety of bounce house Christmas ideas that you and your family can use this Christmas season in order to enjoy the holiday season to its fullest.

Best Bounce House Christmas Ideas

During the Christmas season, you will go to many different parties. While these parties can be a lot of fun, do you know what makes any party better? A bounce house. There are many different types of bounce houses, from ones focused on avoiding obstacles to larger ones with tall slides.

No matter which of these you choose there are many different ways that you can include a bounce house in your Christmas celebrations. Here are a couple of ideas to get you started.

Reindeer Racing

Since many bounce houses already come equipped with obstacles all you need are some reindeer and you can hold your very own reindeer races. This is a great activity for families with younger children. Give each racer an antler headband or make a rule that the race must be done on the racer’s hands and knees. The first reindeer to reach the end wins a prize.

Jumping Snow Globe

This is an excellent way to add a Christmas flair to your family's bounce house. By adding a layer of confetti or fake snow to the bottom of the bounce house you can make your own snow globe. Simply add your guests to the bounce house and let them start jumping. Soon enough the bounce house will be a personal snow globe filled with snow.

Elf Obstacle Course

Perhaps your guests are stranded in an icy forest. Or maybe they are last-minute helpers for Santa’s workshop. Whatever you come up with, a bounce house can be the perfect backdrop for a short holiday story.

First, you will need to think about which types of guests you will be hosting for. If you plan on having young children over you can create a handful of quick challenges that will require them to work together to solve. If instead, you are planning on having teenagers or even adults over you can put together a simple escape room. Anything goes, just use your imagination to come up with a Christmas-centered story with group-focused challenges that allow your guests to bond while bouncing.

Winter Wonderland

A bounce house can be a lot of fun, but you might be worried that it doesn’t look the part of a Christmas attraction. Don’t worry, with a couple of small additions, you can turn your bounce house into your own Winter Wonderland. Add strings of Christmas lights and glow sticks and you can light up the bounce house with the trappings of Christmas.

Add some of the fake snow from the snow globe earlier, a Christmas tree and ornaments, or even some stuffed animals and your Winter Wonderland is nearly complete. All that is left is for your guests to wander with awe throughout your homemade Winter Wonderland.

Visit From Santa

One of the most important parts of a Christmas party is a visit from Santa. Luckily, a bounce house is the perfect place for Saint Nick to pay your guests a visit. This can be done in a variety of ways. Young children will appreciate the chance to sit in a circle and listen to Santa read to them about Christmas stories. They then can be given the chance to sit on his lap and tell him about what gifts they want to see under the Christmas tree.

Snowy Sledding Hill

Those who have a bounce house with a slide, consider turning the bounce house into a sledding hill. All you need is a couple of small foam sleds and you are ready to start sledding. You can even decorate the hill to your liking.

Add a couple of trees and Christmas lights and you have the best hill to sled down. Take those Christmas lights and run along the sides of the slide and you could be sledding down a steep roof. The steps to climb up could even be the chimney. The hill might even be a tall mountain with an Abominable Snowman at the top ready to chase you to the bottom.

Christmas Nativity

Our final option for you is to turn your bounce house into a Christmas Nativity. Many bounce houses are shaped like castles or other buildings it only takes a couple of small changes to turn it into a stable. Add a couple of small electric candles and some stuffed farm animals. Finally, have your guests come dressed in Nativity outfits.

With Mary and Joseph, shepherds, and wise men you can get the entire family involved in telling the first Christmas story. And this is only scratching the surface of how you can induce a bounce house in Christmas celebrations
